In order to deepen educational reform and innovation, strengthen the open running and high-quality development of of LPSNU, and promote exchanges and cooperation with countries along the the Belt and Road, 15 students from the Art School of our university went to Pathumthani University in Thailand from July 14 to 27 for a 14-day art exchange.
Pathumthani University has set up daily teaching courses for our students, such as Thai language teaching, etiquette culture course, traditional cooking study and traditional dance basic course.It enables students to fully understand the local conditions, customs and human history of Thailand. From July 17 to 19, the students of our school learned the dance and music of the northern, central, northeastern and southern parts of Thailand under the careful guidance of the teachers of the Thai Institute of Art Development. As a demonstration of the learning results, the students of our school performed Four Thai Dances and Thai Drum of Victory. The Thai teachers highly praised the students'wonderful performances, and the students also deeply appreciated the charm of Thai traditional dance and music.
In addition to the classroom study, the teachers and students of our school visited the Thai Museum of Modern and Contemporary Art, Thai National Art Museum and Thai Art University Art Center. While appreciating the rich and colorful art forms of Thailand, they also felt the profound historical background and unique cultural connotation of Thailand, as well as the in-depth exchanges and communication between China and Thailand in art and culture.
During their stay in Thailand, the teachers and students of our school went to the Grand Palace and Ayutthaya Historical and Cultural Relics for cultural investigation and watched the performance of Confucius Opera, the world intangible cultural heritage. These art forms show the aesthetic concepts and creativity of the Thai people, reflect their understanding of the natural environment, religious beliefs and social life, and reflect the world. It deepens the understanding of Thai higher education, teaching and training mode of art education and Thai culture.
On July 23, Chinese and Thai teachers and students held a performance of literature and art at Pathumthani University. The performances presented by our teachers and students, such as Shao Duoli and Miaoshan Little A-Mei, showed the national characteristics and cultural charm of Guizhou art to the Thai side and won the applause of the teachers and students present. Students from the International College of Pathum Thani University also brought performances of local songs and dances.
On July 26, the graduation ceremony of the study tour to Thailand was held at Pathumthani University. Nithima Yuenyong, Vice President of Pathumthani University, presented certificates of completion to our students.
Our university will actively strengthen exchanges and cooperation with the school, provide more opportunities for the development of teachers and students of the two universities, and promote educational exchanges and mutual learning.
